Our neighbors to the east of us are moving out - #1506 Robert Weaver Ave - and they are looking for someone to rent it soon. It is a 2 bedroom house, dog friendly, $875 per month. The street is a cool, shady, little cul de sac close to town lake, downtown (5 in bike), sports fields, bus routes to WF and Wheatsville, hike and bike trail, etc.

  the map

If anyone is interested, call the landlord, the Robert Gallager Group at 512-451-0414 and mentioned you were referred by Kevin Melarcon (aka Raleigh) the current occupant.

Cheers, Simon

That's pretty cheap.  I pay just a little more than that where I am.  For those who are apprehensive about the East Side, I have lived in my neighborhood for almost 10 years and love it.  Of course, I'm basically downtown where I am and can walk to all the venues to see shows or whatever....in an ideal world, I would work downtown and walk to work.  Of course, I work in Round Rock, so it ain't happening....I love this part of town and don't want to live anywhere else.

Only in Texas will you see animal products at a Farmer's Market. It's ridiculous.

I went to the one downtown a while ago, and there wasn't much at all. That could've changed by now. The one in Sunset Valley is pretty sizeable and draws a pretty big crowd.

Man, this thread got off topic.

I agree that farmer's markets should have no animal products....that wigged me out at the Sustain-a-ball (or whatever the fuck it was called).  So much of that crap....we should do a vegan farmer's market.  Anyone know any farmers? :P

I start work at Oasis gardens on wednesday, one day a week... but personally i don't think a vegan farmer's market is really viable. come down and support the saltillo plaza market on wednesdays 4-7 because it only (last season) carries fruit, veg and homemade soap. no frills.
