I've never been, but I know some others who have.

Kristen has been and blogged about it. Unfortunately, it's about a year and a half old, so it's kind of out of date (that veg restaurant closed, and maybe some others). Maybe you can message her and get an update? Her username is her first name. Anyways, the link is here: http://www.sugar-skull.com/blog/138

Otherwise, I've heard that the Whole Foods there has decent options, and HappyCow surprisingly has a good number of listings.

I really like the daily beans and rice at Gumbo Shop in the French Quarter. The gumbo z'herbs is vegan, too, I believe.

This blog is current and features some really great looking food: http://www.veganneworleans.com/

Yum! I definitely went to gumbo shop and it was delicious!! BUUUT I also found another super awesome place that I didn't see in any "vegetarian" listings online. I was walking through the french quarter, starving, and decided that I would just go into any restaurant at that point and eat bread if I had to (it was midnight so all the veggie places I knew of were closed). Well I walked into one and sat down without even looking at their menu, and they had sooo much vegan stuff!! Tofu scramble burritos, a veggie poboy, vegan burger, hummus and pita, veggie sandwich.. so good and open really late!

Oh, it was called Thirteen. happy

Here is their menu

Now that I look at it, they had a lot more stuff on the menu in the actual restaurant. For instance, there was a tofu scramble burrito, instead of just tofu scramble.

Slim Goodies Diner near the Tulane campus.

VEGAN BREAKFAST SLAMMER
"Hash browns, tofu scramble, smoked tempe smothered w/ vegetarian chili"

It is out of this F**KING world good.

My wife got "the Guatemalan" with tofu scramble instead of eggs and loved it.

While trying to remember the name of the place I stumbled upon this website.  Not exactly perfect but at least a start:
