I talked with Freddy, the owner of Good to Go in the North Austin Trailer Yard yesterday about a potential VRA meetup there in December, and he said he'd love to have us come by for some burgers!

If you're not already familiar with Good to Go, it's an all-vegetarian burger truck that's super vegan friendly. You can have your pick of a black bean, edamame, hemp seed, portobello, or boca patty, and you can top it with Daiya or one of many topping options, most of which are vegan or can be made vegan. You can even stack more than one patty in your sandwich if you're indecisive or hungry. When you consider all of the patty and topping choices, there's a staggering number of combinations you can put together. I've been there a bunch of times since they opened a couple of months ago, and I don't think I've ordered the same thing twice, yet.

Anyway, there's an event up here for Thursday, December 13th: http://veganaustin.org/event.php?id=587

Hope to see you guys there!

They do have gluten free rolls but I'm not sure they are vegan.

I'll ask Freddy if his GF buns are vegan.

In the meantime, Good to Go is offering a $1 discount on combos (burger + chips + drink) for the meetup! If you're into deep fried slices of yummy, you should check out their chips.

The regular gluten-ful buns are vegan (the burgers are served on a ciabatta roll, and the patty melt is served on toast), and Freddy will have vegan gluten-free buns from Happy Vegan Inge, so gluten-free or not, you can be sure to enjoy your burger on a delicious vegan bun!

So what you're saying is anything can be vegan.  Are all the buns vegan or you have to request that?
