What's everyone making these days?  What do people eat in cold weather anyway... soup, chili?

I'm going to try the Field Roast en croute this Xmas. Until then, curries of both ethnicities and anything on a mountain of mashed potatoes. I've been waiting for a good cold snap before attempting soy curls and dumplings. That'll happen soon.

It sounds like we need to turn this into a potluck. Who's with me? It seems like ages since VRA had a regular ol' potluck. (Not to take anything away from the fruitluck, Ben.)

What do you guys say?

Pete, I thought you'd never ask! I love potlucks! (It's too bad I live in a tiny apartment or I would host more - perhaps if we get an RSVP cap feature I will host again)

A general winter/holiday/autumn mish mash potluck sounds rad to me!

I'm going to have to do this cookie thing.  I've been allergic to chocolate my whole life (migraines), but somehow this year I seem to have outgrown that.

Alright, let's make this happen. What date works for people? I vote for the 16th. There are some other things going on that weekend, but I think Sunday is open. Plus, that next weekend is pretty close to Christmas, so folks (like me!) may be out of town.

Also, does anybody else want to host? I appreciate you offering, Nae - and it may do just fine - but I want to keep it open. Nae has an apartment, and while the living area is fairly spacious, it may get a bit crowded if more than a dozen or so people show up. Our potlucks tend to draw a crowd. Anybody with a house want to offer their space?

We won't be able to host a holiday food potluck, unless it is after the holidays

16th sounds good. I missed out on green bean casserole at Thanksgiving, and I've got a jones for some! Plus, there just aren't enough potlucks in my life.

Not sure what the weather will be like, but maybe we could meet at a park? (We also have a tiny apartment situation)

Also, do attend the cookie swap! I've been scoping recipes on Pinterest.

Three cheers for holiday food!

The cookie swap does indeed sound pretty cool.

So...we're good for the 16th at Nae's? I'll send her a message so we can get the event up. Sorry for being sluggish on this.

Potlucks! w00t! happy
