Hey everyone, most of you have probably already seen the posts on Facebook about the VNA potluck tomorrow (Saturday the 15th, 6:30pm). It'll be the first one we've ever held in Round Rock. I guess I should've been using the headline "Potluck with Cooking Demo" instead of "Potluck with Special Guest Chef", that might've been more enticing.

Anyway, if any of you live up north (or in Round Rock!), or don't mind coming from wherever you are, we'd really like to have a nice turnout for this guy. His name is Phil Eherenman, he's with the Alaska Vegetarian Society, and he's come to Austin to visit and check us out. He asked if he could do a cooking demo for his for a special cheezy sauce he makes from nooch and cashews, and he's also making a parmezan cheeze, and he'll have handouts for both recipes.

Phil is a Certified Food For Life Nutrition and Cooking Class Instructor for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. You can find his website at

Full details, directions and map at Just bring a vegan dish to serve eight, plus your utensils, plates and beverages.

If you can, please RSVP on Facebook ( or Meetup ( But if you don't, it's cool just come anyway! We'd love to have any and all VRAers join us at this (or any!) potluck.
