Sweet! It looks like Bouldin and Wheatsville were the big winners.

This is awesome! Thanks Ross and Jacob!

Also, I don't feel quite as bad voting for Bouldin in multiple categories since, apparently, I'm not the only one who goes there multiple times in the same week happy

Yay! Thanks for the awesome poll and for the amazing support! It makes me proud as the GM of Wheatsville to be so supported in serving our vegan friends!

And, personally, Bouldin is one of my other favorites, so it's great to see the love for them, too!

In the next week or two, we're getting a new oven in for HOT SANDWICHES! So, be on the lookout for even more yumminess to come!

No problem, everyone!

And Dan- absolutely. We're truly lucky to have such a fantastic place as Wheatsville, and happy you guys have been so supportive of vegan options all these years. Can't wait to try the hot sandwiches excited Let's get some seitan up in there(seitan philly + daiya would be amazing)! Also bring back the vegan dill mayo, mmmmmm

Also- feel free to suggest things you'd like to see for next year's poll! Things we're already considering for next year- limit of one item per business in a single category, locally made products(ala Baby Zach's, Food For Lovers, etc.), local organizations.

Yeah, all of these sound good. Also, maybe Best Local Veg Blog? And instead of Best Overall, maybe dividing it up into Best Trailer and Best Brick-and-Mortar? Just my two cents.

In a very sad turn of events, Best Brunch runner up Casa De Luz  has decided to stop serving brunch. We went today and they just had regular lunch, which was still delicious, but now they encourage you to pay $8 for an extra plate, after paying $12 for your first plate. The brunch was $14 and All-you-can-eat, which was the best value.  Now they don't have pancakes or migas, which is huge bummer.  They do have comment cards at the front desk, so feel free to tell Casa how you feel.

Just fyi...we'll be serving brunch of migas, breakfast taters, fresh fruit and cinnamon buns this sunday Jan.15th at the Brixton (check the calendar for details) Sorry we cannot do an 'all you can eat' style though for this type of event, we would lose money

Thanks for putting this together ! Its great to hear so many voting on vegan things in austin !!

In addition to best "Locally made vegan product"
you can add best "Other vegan food business"
(you know for caterers, meal delivery, home based bakers, etc) or something like that to include us vegan food businesses who don't have a 'restaurant'
