I haven't seen posts elsewhere for this, so thought I'd bring it up. How many are planning on attending the Dallas VegFest on Oct 23rd? I've heard several mention it in conversation, but curious about the number of locals attending

I am also crushed, Molly! I have several assignments due the following weak, and it would be unwise for me to take off that weekend. Maybe if I "get ahead" on my schoolwork, but I've never been very good at "getting ahead" on work. Kind of a foreign concept to me! I hope all of you plan on blowing up facebook with pics while you're there!

For people who will be up in DFW, there's a screening of a veg movie called Vegucated and a State Veggie Fair kickoff party.

I'm going again. I lived there last year. Not just funnel cakes! Man, you know how the TX State Fair has crazy fried this and that? Like they've done butter, beer and crap like that. Well someone last year did the most amazing cinnamon rolls batter dipped and then fried. It was so goooood! There are all kinds of things and I'm sure it will be way better this year. And more speakers and vendors as wellhappy

should we be planning a VRA Spiral Diner meetup Sunday after the Fair?

I may drive up on Saturday night and spend the night in Dallas.  Have extra space in the car and a free bed (PM me).  But, I might just drive up on Sunday morning since the Fair doesn't start until 11am (and goes till 6pm).

Jessica - I'm up for a Spiral Diner meetup, but we'd need to leave the Fair early (like around 3:30pm), since Spiral Diner closes at 5pm on Sundays and it's a 20 minute drive from the park.

Hey is anyone going to the kick-off party the night before? Just curious, it's by Mercy for Animals.
