>(Chris's first thought, like lots of other people, was "we still don't have a vegan stock photo site?" so he did it. It's pretty self maintaining and community-run so he just wanted to put it up as a tool for people to use on the internet.)

sweet!! happy

What a fantastically positive and productive result to come out of such silly stupid circumstances.  Awesome job!

Exactly what they needed to do. I'm really glad they took some responsibility, and I hope they hear out their employees more when they raise issues from now on.

+1

I think they would have gone under otherwise.  This illustrates again why we should always speak out (whether we're talking about bread ingredients , non-vegan photos, or anything else that compromises us as vegans).

I ran across this site. The tips and tricks are pretty basic stuff, but it's a good read if you don't know a lot about photography and want to photograph your food.

I don't like how they called the person who first informed them about the photos a "troll".
Also, I don't like the assumption that the informer should have been required to message them privately.  VegNews must have already known what they were doing was wrong;  informing the public was the only way to get it fixed.

Out of curiosity, what happened to the veganstockphoto.com site?  I hadn't checked it in a while, and it seems to be gone now.
