>has anyone noticed that bouldin got new bread for their items that used new world bakery bread?
>when you order the el tipico now the bread is bigger, we're also finding that the patty is bigger and the bread is fluffier. YUM!

I haven't tried it yet, but that sounds great!  What brand are they using now?

Never heard from New World in response to my e-mail. I only sent them the one e-mail though. Glad to hear that Bouldin has fluffy new bread.

Crystal, you mean the veggie royale?  the el tipico comes with tortillas.  and on that note, do they get those tortillas from new world as well, I wonder?

I think the tortillas are from El Milagro.

sorry, yes the veggie royale. thanks, craig!

their tortillas are and have always been vegan.
they get them from several different places because they will only order vegan tortillas so they get vegan corn tortillas from one place, vegan flour from another, vegan wheat from another, etc.

if you don't feel comfortable hearing that from me then go in the morning (1 hour after they open) and sometime before the lunch rush and ask for chesley or leslie or jake. You can of course go afterthe lunch rush but when it's busy sometimes they may be way too busy to stop and chat.

>Just wanted to bump this and see if there have been any updates on this issue. Anyone know?

I received this email last night:

"You've received this if you have asked about our bread being vegan some time
in the past. I was told today by our baker that our bread is now 100% VEGAN.

How hard is it to list the ingredients? I just sent New World an email only asking for an ingredient list for Thundercloud. Nothing about veganism or animal ingredients, simply 'what is in it?'.

update: Looks like I'm barking up the wrong tree. Quick reply, at least.

I apologize but we require that you are a customer to obtain this information directly. Your local Thundercloud Subs can provide you with this information.

Thank you,

Yeah, after the mixed messages from Thundercloud Subs in the past, I am pretty skeptical and need more details.  Did they switch bakeries, or did something else change?

especially since I think I remember in once instance they said the bread was vegan, and it had whey.

I emailed New World, they told me all of their bread is vegan but wouldn't give me an ingredient list saying I had to get it from Thundercloud. Thundercloud told me that I had to get an ingredient list from New World Bakery.

Here is the email

I do apologize but, you will need to obtain the ingredient list from your local Thundercloud. However, we did eliminate the L-cystine completely from all of our products. All of our products are 100% Vegan.

Enjoy! happy

Thank you,

What a win! That is awesome that they changed their recipe. I heart New World Bakery.  I'm going to send them a thank you letter.

Thundercloud tweeted about their so-called vegan bread today. I sent them a reply tweet:
