I just spoke with Tom McKeone who operates the Round Rock location and he told me their Daiya shipment will be arriving today! I am picking one up this afternoon, I'll let you know how it is.

I don't know if he operates the downtown location as well but I sent him a reply asking if he knew when they would be carrying it as well.

As suspected by bpmojo and myself, the gluten-free crust is NOT vegan.  It contains both eggs and dairy products.  Stick to the regular wheat or the organic.

I went over to the Round Rock Zpizza last night and ordered a large vegan cheese pizza, it was fantastic! The downtown location is owned by someone else but the Round Rock owner checked with them and said they should get their shipment in about 2 weeks.

Make sure you specify the vegan cheese because they still have the soy cheese containing casein instock. They have alot of veggie options and I noticed that they also have soy crumbles but I don't know if they are vegan or not.

It is located on University Blvd which is between Ikea and the outlet mall in a new plaza (on the outlet mall side).

I just noticed that on the first page of this this thread the transcript of the manager's e-mail lists veggie crumble as one of the vegan toppings. I'm guessing those are the soy crumbles you were wondering about Noblyspoon. Cool Beans!

Went to the downtown location Saturday night, only to be told they were "out" of vegan cheese.  What would happen if they were "out" of cow cheese???

So we went to Home Slice.  It was good.  But no cheese.  angry

i am late on this train, but i called the downtown z pizza location and they said they will start selling Follow Your Heart soy cheese in about a month. As you know, their soy cheese now is not vegan. But I asked about their crust and they said it was gluten-free. I asked about the ingredients and there is no dairy or eggs in it.

They didn't know what Daiya was and they don't currently have vegan cheese. What is your experience now? I am confused.

Their gluten free crust is not vegan according to the corporate office.  Their other two crusts are vegan. Not certain whether you talked to a manager or an employee, but I'm more inclined to believe the corporate office.  The corporate office is consistent with the website, which lists three different types of pizza crusts (one gluten-free, which does not say non-dairy and two others that do).

ugh. I thought they were gonna have daiya. somehow seems to be some mis-communication between the downtown location...corporate...and even the round rock location.

It seems weird that they would be part of the same franchise and not ultimately using the same cheese product. Maybe someone down the line is misinformed, and they actually are going to serve Daiya soon.

We tried to go to the 2nd street location this weekend & they were out of vegan cheese. That might be a good thing, since last time I called (see the restaurants.com thread), they said they had to finish off the FYH before the Daiya rolls in. The person I spoke to understood the brand names I was talking about.

Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us at zpizza. You did hear correctly - all zpizza locations will begin offering Daiya brand vegan cheese within the next few weeks. There may have been miscommunication at the store, but I will be sure to follow-up with the owner directly so they can ensure their team has the correct information. Thank you for reaching out to us!

Thank you,
Brandi Babb

I, do apologize, this is an email I check infrequently.  I always carry the "Follow Your Heart" cheese as that is what many of my customers have requested.  Assuming my manager remembered to order the Daiya cheese from our supplier, we will have it Monday.  In the event he didn't, it will be another two weeks.  However, I did speak with someone at Whole Foods and they will begin carrying it in about a month, which means when we run out from our regular supplier, we will at least be able to run and get it locally.  Thank you so much for your inquiry and I hope I can meet all of your "pizza" needs.  Please feel free to contact me with all of your questions and comments.

Thanks,
