Friends, my companero took me to Mother's to help me relax after translating non stop for like 8 hours, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Mushroom Strogonoff on noodles and it was awesome. The service was very pleasant and the atmosphere most relaxing.
I write this because people were disappointed when it just reopened.

I guess many of the complaints stem from the vegan items - most of us here can't really comment on the dishes that aren't vegan - like the stroganoff - cuz we don't eat em.

When it first reopened, it wasn't as good as I remembered.  Though, the last time I went to Mothers, a few weeks ago, it was as good as it used to be. happy

Dear Mattabo71,
You stirred my curiosity! It is true that I didn't check if their Mushroom Strogonoff was Vegan (I was so exhausted that day!) so it might not have been. However, I looked up some recipes and found a great Vegan Mushroom Strogonoff that I will post ASAP in our recipes section. Yum!

Jacob,
Yes, definitely looks like they stepped up to the plate! Thanks for your comment.

I'm happy to report after we went there last night that the salsa wasn't absolutely watery like the last couple times i've been. that made me happy.

Last time I went, not long ago, they were in the process of rebuilding the garden area. Yeah!! That was always half the fun of going there. I also think they've gotten back into the good food groove.

i went yesterday and the salsa seemed just right to me, consistency and taste-wise. i had the migas, like i always do, and they were good, but for some reason not as good as i remember. but definitely still worth the trip.

I went there for my first time about two weekends ago.  It was a long wait, but the blueberry pancakes I had were quite tasty.  My only complaint was that the service was slow, but that may have just been an issue to me because I really needed more coffee that morning!
