Re: BBQ Revolution Posted by: lorax on 2014/05/08 2:49pm I have eaten here a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Its like the vegan version of going to some small Texas BBQ joint. I have only had a chance to try the soy curls, but I liked the sauce and the texture (important one for me in analog meats). The first time around there seemed to be a bit too much liquid smoke in the sauce, but during the second visit it was great. The other protein options were sold out at the time, so I'm hoping those are even better.
The sides are pretty decent. The slaw was well done, and the only gripe I had with the potato salad was that it was a little bland for my tastes. I have no idea if the bread is vegan, but I enjoyed the simplicity of it and its even a bit nostalgic to eat a big sloppy BBQ sandwich on that cheap white bread.
The portions are hearty and the price is definitely reasonable. This place is also located with a couple of other vegan/vegan-friendly trailers right off of Airport, which is nice.reply

nothing planned
