2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup soymilk
1/2 cup vegetable shortening

mix ingredients in a bowl and then place dough on cutting board coated in flour...

preheat oven to 500 degrees

use a biscuit cutter (a can with no lid is perfect) and place the biscuits on a greased iron skillet (baking sheet should do...)

bake 11-12 minutes

for a delicious cream style gravy, brown some flour with oil in a pan, then add some soymilk and gimme lean! sausage or bocabits, etc... it will thicken but add milk and flour as needed to thicken or thin.... add salt and pepper to taste....
